What is The Bridger Jones Editing Certificate?
Bridger Jones will provide a certificate confirming that your paper was edited by native English speakers and, assuming all of the changes we proposed are incorporated into the manuscript, is ready for journal submission. It will allow journal editors to feel confident that the English language in your paper has been reviewed and verified.
What Will the Certificate Do For Me?
This certificate informs all journals that your manuscript's use of the English language is up to the required standards. This implies that your paper will already be one step closer to peer review and ultimately, publication.When submitting your manuscript to a journal, include this certificate as proof that the language in your paper is ready for publication. If you accept all of our editors' changes and your paper is later rejected by your journal for English language errors, you can take advantage of our free Second Review service.
How Do I Receive My Editing Certificate?
When we are happy with the English in your paper (we work with you until your paper is ready by requesting revisions and rewrites where necessary), you will be provided with a link to apply for your certificate. You will receive your certificate via email.
The Process
1. Place Order
You can place your order by clicking the button “Place Order” at the bottom of every page of this website. On the order form, tell us how many words your manuscript has, what turnaround time you need and provide a link for your target journal.
2. Editor Search and Journal Research
Your project manager uses the information on your order form to start the search for appropriate editors from the network and gathers formatting and author guidelines from the target journal website.
3. Receive Initial Emails
You will receive an email requesting your document (MS Word, LaTex, Overleaf, Apple Pages etc.). We do this via email for security and confidentiality reasons.You will receive a payment email with a payment link.Once payment is made, you will receive your due date and time by email.
4. Editing Begins
Your first editor starts work. When your first editor has finished, she/he passes the project to the second editor.
5. Clarifications
Where meaning is unclear in your manuscript, your editors will seek clarifications or revisions from you. They do this via email and the process is simple and clearly explained.
6. Manuscript Returned
Your perfect manuscript is returned via email. You receive two versions of your manuscript: one with all changes and comments visible, and one clean, final version with all changes ‘accepted’.Also in this email are instructions on how to proceed with your order should your journal require revisions.Bridger Jones is with you every step of the way, so we also edit your responses to reviewers and any revisions to your manuscript. You simply send these to us quoting your order number. This process is also simple.
