English editing of Latex files in Lyx

LyX is a graphical user interface for LaTeX, which has its own version of Track Changes to enable acceptance or rejection of revisions. Here’s the procedure:

  1. We import your LaTeX file into LyX (File > Import > LaTeX).
  2. We edit your LaTex file in LyX, using its revision-tracking feature (Document > Change Tracking > Track Changes).
  3. You review our changes in LyX and accept or reject as needed.

At this point, you can (1) export the file as LaTeX (File > Export > LaTeX) or (2) process the file from within LyX.

English editing of Latex documents in Overleaf

Overleaf is an online LaTeX and Rich Text collaborative writing and publishing tool that makes the process of writing, editing and publishing scientific documents  quick and easy.

We edit and proofread documents with overleaf

When you order with us, you can provide your Overleaf url (web address) and we will create a new version and return it to you written in perfect English. With Overleaf you can see the changes made and respond to the comments your editor has made.

English editing of Latex documents in MS Word

We open your LaTex document in MS Word, saving it as a .doc or .docx. We then edit and proofread your English document using Track Changes and comments (download our guide to using Track Changes in MS applications).

When you have processed your document in MS Word, i.e., accepting our changes and responding to editor comments, you can save the file as a text file (extension .txt) and then change the .txt extension to a .tex extension.

You will then be able to arrange and compile your LaTex file as normal, and if you have any problems, you can always talk to us: support@bridger-jones.com
